Way back in the year 2010, a young, dynamic physiotherapist was driven with a zeal to do something for the betterment of society. She successfully completed her studies in the field of physiotherapy but upon its completion, she soon realized that on both personal and professional fronts, something more meaningful is yet to come. In the quest of finding the undiscovered, she joined TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences) and studied child rights. She joined Bachpan Bachao Andolan and worked very closely under the guidance of Mrs. Sumedha kailash And Mr. Kailash Satyarthi (noble peace prize laureate).
Having worked for the downtrodden, the plight of the underprivileged ignited the spark in her to give back to the society something more meaningful that may last for a lifetime. One day, when her better half, Mr Beenu Kumar Taneja, a Motivational Guru and Corporate Speaker by profession and an equal enthusiast to work for the underprivileged, organized a charity lunch at one of the reputed government hospitals of Delhi, the couple realized that there are millions of people who are starving to death and are not even capable of arranging a single meal for their family. The couple went more into finding out the root cause of such a situation of poor in India and could find that lack of education, unemployment, social disparity between rich and poor were the major reasons for such a situation. There is a dire need for us, as a society to understand that we should work towards the rights of the people and empower them so as to bridge the huge gap between rich and poor in our country.
Looking at the current scenario, Dr. Neha Malhotra Taneja decided that like her mentors, she would also take a plunge in the field of social work and she took few years’ time to materialize her dream to start a trust with her husband who supported her all the way in her endeavors. Along with the like-minded people and with the vision to create a better world for women, children, youth and adults in all the sections and strata of the society, we call on you to become a part of us and let us together Greet Lives at Greeting Lives Foundation!
